alice-hillSunday night, June 24th, It’s Your Money and Your Life! hosted a double-header. Alice Hill joined the show. Ms. Hill was a talented athlete herself, but she made history when she was the Director of Women’s Athletics at Colorado State University. From her website,

She was the first Director of Women’s Athletics in the first year women were given this title nationally, at Colorado State University; the first to award an Athletic Scholarship for Women at CSU in 1973; won a Title IX sex discrimination lawsuit in a landmark case that set new standards.”

Hill spent much of her career breaking ground for women’s athletics at San Diego State University and authored a Gender Equity Policy Procedures Manual which became an model for other universities. Ms. Hill spoke at the Title IX event at the Oceanside Amphitheater in the Title IX celebration hosted by Richard and Kathy Kinane’s foundation.
