Saturday, July 6th will mark the first night that the show broadcasts from its new home, the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. “The Pink Lady” is the affectionate nickname that locals have given this historic building on the bluffs of Prospect Street. San Diego-based Pacifica Companies, recently bought La V, and they have been investing in the building to bring more sparkle and grandeur to this jewel by the sea. Richard and Joe are overjoyed and humbled to be part of this beautification process.
Saturday night the Managing Director of the hotel, Mark DiBella, joined our favorite hosts to highlight the changes that are occurring at the hotel. In addition, previous guest Harrison Howard stopped by. Mr. Howard is a local artist who has a close familial attachment to the La Valencia Hotel, more specifically the Whaling Bar where his father, Wing Howard, painted the murals.
