Paul graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in psychology. He has also completed the professional education program for the Certified Financial Planner requirements at the College for Financial Planning. Paul is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and various Estate Planning Councils. Paul was the President of the Strategic Trusted Advisors Roundtable (STAR).

Phil Lindsley PhotoPhilip P. Lindsley is a widely recognized elder and disability law attorney, and one of only two Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELA) in San Diego County. Mr. Lindsley has more than 33 years of experience in disability and Medi-Cal planning, conservatorships, trust & estate planning, special needs trusts and probate. Mr. Lindsley is also a State Bar of California Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, and an Accredited Veterans Administration Attorney. He has been rated AV “Preeminent” by Martindale Hubble and a “SuperLawyer,” both based on peer reviews. Phil is a member of the Trust, Probate and Estate Planning sections of the State and San Diego Bar Associations, and a long time member of both the Bar’s Financial and the Medical Liaison committees. He is a Founding member of the Board of Directors of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego (PASD).

San Diego Elder Law LogoPhil founded the San Diego Elder Law Center in 1997 to better serve the legal needs of San Diego County’s elders, as well as those with disabilities and special needs, and to provide needed assistance to their families and caregivers.

Phil is a native San Diegan. He did his undergraduate and graduate work in Psychology at San Diego State University, graduating with honors. He received his Juris Doctorate from USD School of Law in 1980. He is also a former Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, having taught primarily in the area of conservatorships, disability, and mental health law.

When he is not practicing law, Phil enjoys time spent with his family, friends, and animals. He is an avid reader and a gourmet cook, and enjoys time spent gardening, traveling, and keeping his old ranch house from falling apart and his bird feeders stocked.
