About a month ago, Mari Muscio decided to take up running. There must be some talent in the family as Mari has accomplished an enviable feat in a short time. She ran the 5k at the San Diego Half Marathon on March 10th and won her age division (50-54 women) with a time of 25 minutes and 46 seconds. She outpaced a close race for second and third place by 17 and 18 seconds running an average 8 minute, 18 second mile.

When Mari is not running, she is co-owner and co-manager at The Brighter Side, a boutique for women with cancer in Solana Beach. The Brigher Side has certified professionals who help women with cancer look and feel better by supplying products that support a woman’s feeling of wholeness and femininity during cancer treatment and recuperation.
