Byron Georgiou earned his undergraduate degree in political science from Stanford University in 1970 and his JD from Harvard Law School in 1974. He began humbly his career humbly working on behalf of farm workers in the late 1970s for the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board. He has had a long career in the private and public sector in business, law and government service. From 2009 to 2011 he served, as the appointee of then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, as one of ten bipartisan nationwide members on the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, which conducted America’s official inquiry into the causes of the continuing financial, economic and housing crises, and reported its results to the President and Congress.

Currently Mr. Georgiou oversees Georgiou Enterprises, which has a wide range of products including batteries for all-electric niche vehicles, design and manufacturing services for commercial aerospace companies, mortgage resolution services, and electronic health care records.
