U-T San Diego featured photos and short comment about the 9th Annual O’side Turkey Trot on front page of the North County U-T Local section. The Thanksgiving morning was record-setting all around, with more than 10,000 participants (over 7,500 were for the 5K alone).

The 5-mile record set last year by Lukas Verzbicas of 25:16 was beat by Darren Brown who completed the course in 25:05.
His wife, Sarah Brown, came in first for the women’s division with a time 28:10.

In the 5K, Tom Kloos won for the fourth time when he completed the course in 14:43. The winner of the women’s division, Lindsey Drake, finished in 16:45.
